What’s a bo lo bao (pineapple bun)?
Despite the name, there’s no pineapple inside! It’s a beloved Hong Kong treat🇭🇰. A soft, sweet bun topped with a golden, cookie-like crust that looks like a pineapple. Fresh out of the oven, it’s best served warm. And sometimes with a slab of butter tucked in the middle. It’s nostalgic, comforting, and totally iconic in Cantonese culture.

For that just-out-of-the-oven gooeyness, we strongly recommend heating our cookies in the oven at 180°C for 3-5 minutes (or microwaving for 10 seconds). They can also be served at room temperature.
